Secondary Claim Creation (Beta)

When a primary payer leaves a balance behind, you can now create the secondary claim directly from the primary. DocStation pulls the adjudication details forward and prefills the prior payer information so you are not re-entering what the primary already told you.

Available on all subscriptions as a beta feature.

Patient Billing (Beta)

Invoice patients, send a hosted payment link, and collect payment without leaving DocStation. Patients verify their date of birth, pay through branded checkout, and the payment reconciles back to the invoice automatically. Refunds, write-offs, and credits are all handled in the same place.

Available on Base/Plus and Enterprise as a beta feature.

DocStation Copilot Chat (Beta)

Copilot can now answer questions about your claims, eligibility checks, and automation rules in a chat window. Ask why a rule evaluation failed, request a breakdown of your claims data, or look up eligibility details without building a report first.

Available on all subscriptions as a beta feature.

Eligibility Check Validations Now Live for Every Customer

The eligibility validations that flag coverage problems before you bill are now running for all customers. DocStation catches patients with Medicare Part B only coverage and patients on HMO or EPO plans where the service is unlikely to be covered on the medical benefit, and returns a reject message at the point of billing instead of weeks later on a remittance.

Both validations can be overridden with a DUR override code when you know the claim should go out anyway.

Medicare Advantage Now Indexed from BIN Billing

Medicare Advantage details captured during BIN billing are now indexed on the claim itself. You get MA Detected, MA Routed, Plan Name, and Plan Number as fields you can filter, sort, and report on. Submitter information is indexed alongside them, so you can see who created a claim and who submitted it.

This makes it far more direct to answer questions like which MA plans you are billing most, and how those plans are paying.

A Printable View of Any Claim

Every claim now has a read-only view laid out like a CMS-1500. Open it, review it, print it. Useful for audits, payer requests, and anyone who wants to see the claim in the format they already know.

Resizable Columns and Column Filtering Across Tables

Claim tables now have resizable columns with graceful overflow, so long values stop pushing your layout around. Double-click a column border to reset it. Column filtering landed alongside it, plus several new columns to choose from. These changes are rolling out to every table in DocStation that supports them.

Remittance Downloads by Prescription Number

For pharmacies whose downstream systems key on the prescription number rather than the DocStation claim ID, remittance downloads can now use the prescription number as the claim identifier. This one came directly from our enterprise customers. It is an opt-in setting, and DocStation will confirm before you switch it on.

Invoices in your Subscription tab are now clickable. Open any invoice and see the full usage records behind it, so you can trace exactly what you are being billed for.

You can now attach notes and related items to a health record resource at the moment you create it, rather than saving first and going back to add context. Notes on claim items that cannot be edited are also visible now, so the history stays readable even on locked records.

More Ways to Set the Rendering Provider

Two new options for populating the rendering provider on claims and templates: pull from a contact, or use the current user. The second one fills in the provider automatically based on who is creating the claim, which removes a step for pharmacies where the person creating the claim is the person rendering the service.

DocStation Platform

DocStation brings billing, patient records, scheduling, messaging, automations, and notes into one pharmacy business platform.
